Racing South Africa
The Racing South Africa Website came about after a realisation that a good-looking and highly functional website is essential for businesses and organisations. The brief was to create a new look and website for Racing South Africa and to organise all the information on the current site into a searchable and indexable system, that could be easily updated inhouse.
The design brief required a home page that provided news updates for multiple categories, without needing the user to scroll down the page. An elegant flash presentation was part of the brief, as well as the instruction to be uncluttered. All the requirements of the brief were met to produce the final product.
The website is programmed in ASP.net, and the backend content management system allows employees at Racing South Africa to log in and update content, images and documents at any time. The fron end provides the data in an organised and elegant manner, with the home page containing a Flash presentation, a horizontal navigation system and a scrolling news box.
